With 25-plus years in Manhattan real estate, Ann Guttman has experienced the ebbs and flows of the market, facilitated transactions of every kind, and helped countless buyers and sellers realize their goals. Especially on the Upper West Side where she’s lived since 1979, Ann knows every street, building and floor plan…so she can place the right buyer in their ideal home.

Originally from Pennsylvania, this small-town girl graduated from Penn State, and earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale University. A student of the French Horn, she played the instrument professionally for 25 years, enjoying a welcomed balance that for a long time complemented her fast-paced real estate career.

Ann was a top-producing West Side sales agent for 18 years before moving into management at Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy’s downtown office, a post she held for four years. This experience gave her a much broader view, more seasoned perspective and diverse background which set the stage for her ultimate reentry into the sales arena. It also introduced her to Patrick Lilly, who Ann greatly admired while he was under her management. Today the tables have turned, and she is glad to be a vital part of this top producer’s team at The Corcoran Group. Ann has brought with her a stream of loyal clients who continually reward her fine service with referrals and repeat business.

Ann has a deep understanding not only of the workings of the Manhattan real estate market, but of the unique needs of the buyers and sellers who rely on expert guidance to navigate them through it. She recently moved to Inwood in Upper Manhattan and is a huge fan of the area. She especially enjoys the park-like setting while still being in the city, a combination unique to Inwood. She loves her work even after all these years, but still seeks that balance that she finds so important through course work in psychology at the Center for Group Studies. Ann also enjoys quiet time with her husband, a psychoanalyst, and their very lovable dogs.
